At the Very End of Tole Bi (Think Atlantic Avenue), a Giant After Market Car Repair Bazaar

At the far western edge of the city, this picture for the boys of the Militia. While you wait for your car to be fixed, you can buy little bowls/big mugs of homemade, fermented horse and/or cow milk. Elderly ladies sitting at card tables dispense it from unrefrigerated water cooler-type bottles. Today it is at least 90 degrees.

Did you buy the fermented horse milk? This is one of the few things I remember from editing the Encyclopaedia Britannica article on Kazakhstan while I had a ruptured appendix.
