36 Hours To Go
Not so much running around today. Got haircut, picked up a boatload of cash at bank, copied passports again. Caught Batman Begins with Mel, not the perfect Batman movie but easily the best yet. Bale, Neeson, Oldman and cast, except for odious Katie Holmes, are great. Bale makes you care about Wayne and Batman. This movie has a story to tell. Finished off with Candace taking me to wonderful, romantic dinner at Grocery, where Charlie & Sharon overfed us. None of this would be happening if not for Candace, and she takes me to dinner. Half the people I run into say "I thought you left," soon come. Time to start packing and doing laundry.

Seeing the movie and having a wonderful dinner seem like the perfect things to do on your last full day.
Earlier this week, I e-mailed my friend Kathy, who adopted a baby from China more than ten years ago, and told her about your trip. She wrote back: "Wow! Great news about your expanding family. Life will certainly change for them, all for the better."
Bon voyage!
